On the basis of
order № 82 of the Seamen Training and Certifying Inspectorate of seafarers
dated 31.07.03, ratings of sea vessels, addressed to the State Qualifying
Commission (SQC), direction "Ratings", for competence test, in
addition to the documents produced to SQC, should have certificates on
completion of refresher and updating courses at the approved educational
institution.
Corresponding
courses are organized at TSSC according to the programs agreed by Ministry of
Education and Science of Ukraine and Training and Certifying Inspectorate of
seafarers. They include: |

The purpose of courses is familiarization with changes
of corresponding national and international regulations, dealing with safety of
human life at sea and marine environment protection, and also improvement of
their standards of competence.
Refresher
and updating courses are intended for rendering assistance to ratings in their
preparation for competence test at the State Qualifying Commission, direction
" Ratings ". On completion of training each trainee receives a
certificate of the approved sample. |
